Macaroni Kid Charleston is your source for all the scoop on family friendly activities and fun in Charleston and the Islands. We are here for local moms and dads, grandparents and caretakers who love finding fun, local things to do with their kids, without breaking the bank.
Every week, we send our 5,000 + email subscribers a FREE newsletter jam-packed with activities, local information, articles, recipes, crafts, and great giveaways just for our subscribers.
Please share Macaroni Kid with your friends. What parent isn't looking for ideas to keep the kids busy? Don't keep this to yourself! Plus, the bigger we get, the more features we can add and bigger giveaways we can do! You can share any article on your own Facebook page by clicking the "Like" button under the title of the article, or you can use "Pin it" to add to one of your Pinterest boards.
1. Check the calendar often. Not all of the events are listed on the main page or in the newsletter due to the large number of events happening around town. And new listings are added all the time, so to ensure you don't miss anything, be sure to bookmark and look through the calendar on a regular basis.
2. Submit An Event to be added to our calendar if it's missing. We are happy to include free or low cost family-friendly events and activities. Click to submit your information.
3. Use the "My Macaroni" feature to build a personalized list of the events for your family. Click the "My Macaroni" button under any event listing to select the ones that you are interested in. Then you can select “My Macaroni” in the navigation bar at the top, below our logo, and it will show your list. You can download to a PDF file and email and/or print to take with you!! That way you'll have all the details right at hand when you're on the road. We also have a handy Google Calendar button which lets you add events directly into your Google calendar.
4. Use the business/resource directory
Our business and resource directory is full of local Macaroni Kid Charleston approved businesses which offer your family services, activities, camps, classes, and lessons. We are always adding new businesses to the Macaroni Kid Charleston family so be sure to check back often!
5. Browse through our past articles and newsletters
Check out our Archives. If you are looking for something in particular, you can use the Search option in the navigation bar at the top of the page. Try entering "recipe" or "craft" and you'll get lots of ideas! If you have any suggestions for articles, let me know!
